Cartier used Diamond-black ADLC coating to redefine two classic models of Santos De Cartier collection. Santos 100 Carbon and Balloon Bleu De Cartier Carbon show the black appearance, meanwhile those classic features created by the brand gain the further extension.

A great number of people know about the history of Cartier Santos collection. The first men’s wristwatch created by Louis Cartier in 1904 was given to Albert Santos-Dumont, a Brazilian pilot. As time flies, the appearance of the style of the Santos collection never change a lot. Cartier marked the centenary of the watch with a new version, the Santos 100. New styles of the Santos 100 are designed to get rid of the stale and bring forth the fresh. It’s due to the distinctive shape design and a new in-house movement that the Santos 100 Carbon appears the different features from the rest.

At first glance, Cartier Santos 100 Carbon 2016 is similar to the Santos 100 ADLC released in 2009, but the old model has a nude bezel. It’s obvious that their dimensions are different by a comparison of the two models. Besides, the second hand of the new model is coated in red, bold and lifeful. Made of refined steel, the whole case is coated with ADLC (Amorphous Diamond-like Carbon), close to DLC. It’s a PACVD coating specifically developed for luxury and fashion goods. Its characteristic hardness and impact and scratch resistance combined with the noble black metallic look make the carbon watch stylish and modern. Close up, we see that the ADLC case boasts drawing process perfectly. The black calfskin strap extends from the large case, 51 mm x 41.3 mm. The watch is equipped with Cal. 1847 MC launched in 2015, reliable and durable.
